Four-piece band The Crosshairs are taking to London in their upcoming show. Joe, Jake, Archie and Thibault are set to play The Stag’s Head, Hoxton in their most exciting show to date.
In preparation for the show, I asked the band some questions to see where they were at.
1. You’re playing your first show in London, how excited are you?
As a band we’re all very excited yet also really nervous. London is a massive deal for us and we’re really proud of being at the position we’re at where its feasible for us to be playing a headline show in the UKs biggest city considering we’ve been together for such a short time.
2. What led you to do a show in London? What was the appeal to London, why London?
Xfire promotors actually came to us asking if we would be interested in playing a show in London; we’re really excited at the fact we are now at the stage where people within the industry are interested in us.
3. Going from Wales to London, that’s huge, how do you feel about it?
It’s a huge step for us which is really exciting but it just giving more of a hunger to get around the rest of the UK and hopefully gather more fans that enjoy our music as much as we enjoy making it!
4. Do you think that the university has given you the tools to be able to organise your own shows?
The university helps a lot with rehearsals as we don't need to rent our rehearsal spaces but apart from that, we've done everything independently. Every gig we've gotten and the current success of our band is just down to hard work and dedication! And we really hope all this hard work pays off more for us.
5. What is your set up going to look like? Do you have any props? Any specific lighting?
We haven’t got a specific set up at the moment, but it’s certainly something we’re interested in integrating into our gigs in the coming months.
6. Which song is your favourite to play live and are you going to do it at this show?
Our favourite song to play is Ready or Not, we all have a good time jamming it and the bass line itself is quite funky, we always look forward to playing it when we’re all jamming together or playing live.
7. Is this show part of a tour? Are you going to any other venues?
Right now, this isn’t part of our tour, but we do have many opportunities lined up based in South Wales in the near future.
8. What’s next for the Crosshairs?
The future of The Crosshairs is something we are really looking forward to exploring and there are many possibilities and avenues that we could go down. Guess you’ll just have to wait and see.
And there you have it, The Crosshairs will be playing the Stag’s Head, Hoxton in London Saturday May 11th, 2024. Make sure to get your tickets and head to the UK capital to see them.
